No experience at all? Want to give Rock-Climbing a go for the very first time? Excited to experience real rock climbing in real natural environments? We do all of the above!
We have two options – you can join a group trip here:
Group Guiding trip
Or you can hire a private guide here:
Private Guide request
What is the difference between a group guiding trip and a private guiding trip?
For a group trip, we set the dates and locations ahead of time and offer them up for anyone to join. They are charged on a per-participant basis and each trip is subject to minimum signups.
Private guiding could also be called “BYO Group”. You contact us to request a date and a location for your trip, and we charge you for the cost of the guide on that day. These trips are not advertised so it is “private” to your group only.
Do I need a partner?
No you can join alone or with others. If there are an odd number of signups overall, we will pair you with other climbers on the day. We can even do 1:1 guiding via the “Private Guide request” option.
Are the trips guaranteed to go ahead?
Group trips are charged per-person and so we need a minimum to make it viable. For Private Guiding, you will pay the cost of the guide so your trip is guaranteed.
All trips are subject to the Terms & Conditions.
What is included?
All rock-climbing equipment included, you just need loose clothing, lunch and water. If you have your own harness/helmet/shoes etcetera feel free to bring it otherwise we will always supply these.
Where do we meet?
For group trips, see the trip detail page to find out where it is happening.
For Private trips, you tell us! See the Locations page to see which location best suits you, or feel free to suggest your own!
In both cases the meeting location is at the crag. We do not provide transport options for individuals or small groups (though if you are a large group like a school or workplace we can certainly arrange it for you).
How does the day work?
We will guide your progression at a pace that suits you. If you feel you have a fear of heights, then guess what, most people do! We’ll start you out on short easy routes then when you are ready, move on to something a bit bigger.
We have years of experience with all kinds of groups, corporate, disabled, family with young children and friends.
Many people’s first climbing experience is at a climbing gym. Climbing on rock is the real thing and mother nature provides many beautiful and inspiring lines. So come and take the next step…
